About Us
Hey there, We are Alex and Leah!
Ever since we first met, we dreamed of going travelling together once we had finished university.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 had other ideas which meant we had to cancel our original trip. š Luckily, this gave us a lot of time to work hard and save up so that we could eventually go on an even longer backpacking trip!
How it all started
Eventually, in October 2021, we both quit our jobs, and packed up our flat in Plymouth, UK, before flying over to Madrid where our adventure began! We had no solid plans, just a lot of ideas and a backpack each.
To keep in touch with our family back home, we posted daily on our Instagram and set up a shared diary so they could see our experiences. After doing this consistently for a few months and getting halfway around the world, we decided to set up our own online travel blog!
We were using other people’s blogs to plan our trip and unfortunately, a lot of what we were reading was out of date as so much had changed during covid. We wanted to provide up-to-date info for backpackers like us, wanting to see the world, post-covid and on a budget!
So if like us you are a lover of sunsets, culture, good food, history, pints and affordable travel, this is the website for you!
Where we are today
So here we are today!
We have now travelled most of Europe, Central America, South East Asia and Australia! After a long year backpacking, we have decided to settle down in London, UK but don’t worry, we have a lot of trips planned and even a long backpacking trip in the near future!
