When is the best time to visit Bali?

The best time to visit Bali is during the dry season, which runs from April to September. During this time, the weather is sunny and warm, with low humidity and little rain. This is ideal for outdoor activities, such as surfing, hiking, and exploring the island’s many temples and cultural sites.

The wet season, from October to March, brings heavy rain and high humidity. Understandably, this makes it less desirable for travelers. However, some may prefer to visit during this time for the lower prices and smaller crowds.

Overall, the best time to visit Bali depends on your preferences and travel plans, but the dry season is generally the most popular time to go.

What is the best way to get around Bali?

We have a full guide explaining how to get around Bali so make sure to check this out! Nonetheless, the top ways to get around tend to be by moped or by hiring a driver and taking tours.

Taxis, Grab and other ride hailing apps are also available and are effective ways to get around. However, public transport is limited and we don’t personally recommend that visitors rent their own car.

How long to spend in Bali?

The ideal length of stay in Bali depends on the individual traveler and their travel plans. However, most visitors typically stay for around 7-10 days to experience the island’s beaches, culture, and outdoor activities.

We personally spent two months in Bali and could have easily stayed longer! Some people visit and never leave and others will just go for a short vacation.
